Non-Geographic (6YY) Code Description

Non-Geographic NPAs include 622, 633, 644, 655, 677, and 688. These are referred to as “6YY” NPAs. NXX Codes in the Non-Geographic NPAs may be assigned to Canadian telecommunications Carriers for the provision of NXX Codes in the Non-Geographic NPAs and are not associated with Exchange Areas such as CO Codes in geographic NPAs.

Non-Geographic (6YY) Code Forms

The Non-Geographic Request, Return, Information Change and NXX Forecast (Form A) and the Code In-Service Certification (Form C) forms are located in Appendix 1 of the Canadian Non-Geographic Code Assignment Guideline, which is located on the CRTC website.

Those meeting the requirements to submit forms should extract the forms from the guideline for submission to the Non-Geographic (6YY) Code Administrator and submit them to NonCOCodeApps@cnac.ca.
